Community and foundation
We are committed to patients and communities and to give back to the people where we live and work.
At Ferring, we Put People First.
We’re driven to produce results that matter to humanity, not just our bottom line. We welcome diverse perspectives and are ready to question the status quo.
As a privately held, fast-growing company, we benefit from an entrepreneurial spirit and long-term perspective that enables us to achieve growth and scale while remaining agile and true to our ‘people first’ philosophy.
We know that making medicines is just one way we can make a difference. We believe that giving back and doing good begins in our own backyard.
In San Diego, we’ve been actively supporting local activities and we’re passionate about applying our skills, time and resources to positively impact the community in the Sorrento Valley.
Some activities that we have supported over the years include
- Women in Bio’s Southern California chapter as event sponsor. Women in Bio shares Ferring’s mission in that it is committed to promoting careers, leadership and entrepreneurship of all women in the life sciences.
- San Diego Food Bank by volunteering to sort and bag food to be delivered to families in the community.
- San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering by hosting a booth at the STEM Expo, an open-to-the-public educational outreach event that provides hands-on learning activities for students.
- San Diego Habitat for Humanity by assisting in building a house. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization working to build and repair affordable homes for veterans and other members of the local community.
We’ve also supported the Symphony at the Salk, Salk Institute, the Peptide Therapeutics Symposium, and Scripps Frontiers in Science.
These are all activities that foster the scientific community in the San Diego community at-large, a community that we are proud to be a part of.
We’re committed to helping people live better lives
